ACP.1: CP 2021
The 27th International Conference on Principles and Practice of Constraint Programming will take place online with free registration from October 25 - October 29, 2021. More information can be found at the conference website: https://cp2021.a4cp.org/.
ACP.2: CP 2022
The 28th International Conference on Principles and Practice of Constraint Programming will take place in Haifa, Israel, as a part of the 2022 Federated Logic Conference (FLoC). The conference will take place during Block 1 of FLOC, together with SAT, KR, FSCD, LICS and ICLP, August 2 - August 5, 2021. ACP.3: Call for Summer (Autumn) School 2021
The Association for Constraint Programming did not receive yet a proposal for organizing the ACP Summer School on Constraint Programming in 2021.
Considering the context, it is understandable to be hesitant. However, organizing an online summer school might be a great opportunity to deploy innovative teaching frameworks and methods! Further, it can also be held later in autumn.
Since its establishment, the summer school has been a major success with feedback from student attendees being very positive.
The proposed topic of the school can be on general CP or on a specific research subject. A complete list of ACP summer schools can be found here: http://www.a4cp.org/events/summer-schools.
Members of the CP community who are interested in organizing the 2021 Summer School should send a proposal to secretary@a4cp.org, covering the following aspects:
- topic of the school
- location (and possible co-locations)
- dates
- organizers
- tentative list of speakers
- provisional budget

ACP.4: CP Conference Retains 'A' Ranking in CORE
While CP was not slated for review by the CORE Conference Ranking organization (https://www.core.edu.au/), we were submitted as a comparator conference by another conference seeking a ranking. Such a submission triggers a review under CORE processes and the ACP EC was notified in early April that CP was provisionally downgraded from 'A' to 'B'. The ACP EC appealed this decision, pointing out some errors in the data that CORE was provided, providing additional data, and indicating some procedural issues. As a result of the appeal, we were successful in retaining an 'A' ranking for the conference.
The issue of conference rankings is an important one for many members of the CP community and the EC has initiated a collaboration with other AI conferences to develop joint submissions to such organizations, highlighting our concerns with the way their processes hurt smaller conference venues.
