ACP.1: Success Stories

As you may have seen, the ACP website now features 'CP Success Stories' on its home page. The EC strives to collect many more such success stories; each time you log in a different story should appear. If you would like your CP success story displayed on the ACP homepage as well (and generate lots of extra citations), please send an email to secretary@a4cp.org.

ACP.2: CP 2016: Update

CP 2016, the Twenty-Second International Conference on Principles and Practice of Constraint Programming, takes place in Toulouse, France, from 5 to 9 September 2016. The call for papers has been released, and features six special-topic tracks in addition to the technical track: CP and Biology; Testing and Verification; Computational Sustainability; Preferences, Social Choice and Optimisation; Music; and Applications. The submission deadline is April 13 (abstract) / April 16 (paper). The call for workshops has also been released: the submission deadline is Friday 1 April 2016. Another new feature this year is the ACP Challenge, organized by Pierre Schaus. This year's topic is proposed by n-Side and ArcelorMittal, and is called the “Torpedo Scheduling Problem”. It is a problem arising in the steel production. More details can be found here: http://cp2016.a4cp.org/program/acp-challenge/ The website already accepts submissions and maintains a real-time ranking. This is a great opportunity for you to show off your CP modeling and solving skills (or any other optimization techniques)!

ACP.3: CP 2017: Programme Chair

CP 2017, the Twenty-Third International Conference on Principles and Practice of Constraint Programming, takes place August 28th to September 1st 2017 in Melbourne, Australia. It will be co-located with IJCAI 2017. The EC is happy to announce that Chris Beck will be programme chair for CP 2017.

ACP.4: CPAIOR 2015: Sponsorship Return

The conference CPAIOR 2015 had received sponsorship from the ACP in the amount of EUR 1500. The conference organizers were able to return this amount to the ACP. The EC congratulates the conference organizers, chaired by Carlos Ansotegui, with a successful CPAIOR conference!
